45 years strong. One stage. Your moment. The NCEO Annual Conference turns 45 in 2027! After a record-breaking year in 2026, the room has never been bigger, the stakes have never been higher, and the opportunity has never been more real.

The NCEO Annual Conference is the employee ownership community's largest annual gathering, and we're opening the floor to the voices who will shape where the field goes next. If you are a thought leader, an expert practitioner, an EO storyteller, or simply someone with hard-won expertise in employee ownership, we want to hear from you.

This is the conference where the employee ownership community comes together to learn, connect, and set the agenda for what's next. Don't watch from the audience—help lead the conversation.

Attendee

“I have been to about a dozen of these so far and I see how well the NCEO listens to feedback and adjusts accordingly. This was the best one yet, kudos! I am still taking away knowledge, insight, inspiration, and homework each time.”

How We Evaluate Your Submission

  • NEW CONTENT ONLY: Abstracts that have been presented in the past at any employee ownership event will NOT be considered.
  • Submissions must be educational and will be eliminated if they appear to be “pitches” for products or services.
  • Individual and panel proposals on similar topics may be combined into a single panel. Panel proposals are generally prioritized over individual ones. Only one speaker per professional advisory firm is allowed per submission, though employee-owned companies may have multiple speakers on the same panel.
  • Every proposal receives careful, dedicated review from our programming team. We hold our agenda to the highest standard because our attendees expect it.
  • Submissions with highly noticeable, unedited AI-generated content will receive a lower rating.

  • We consider your planned format, storytelling, and interactive elements, assessing whether they'll keep a professional audience engaged from start to finish.
  • Sessions are evaluated on how well they address the real challenges, questions, and goals of employee ownership professionals.
  • Speaker evaluation data from prior NCEO events is factored into selection, with preference given to speakers with strong past ratings and feedback.
  • Standard hour-long panels are capped at three panelists; workshop panels are capped at eight.
  • You may not submit more than three proposals, and you can only speak in one session. If more than one of your proposals is accepted, you'll need to provide an alternate speaker for the others.

Confirmation

Have you reviewed everything? To ensure your proposal is a strong fit, please confirm you have read the Speaker Guidelines, Educational Tracks, and Submission Timeline before submitting.

OK

If you're submitting a panel or workshop with multiple speakers, a complete profile—name, email, headshot, and bio—is required for every panelist before the session proposal can be submitted. You're welcome to submit this information on behalf of your co-panelists. We've upgraded how proposals are submitted this year. If you have questions while submitting, email us at eventhelp@nceo.org.

If you wait until the day before the deadline, you risk not finalizing your submission.

Selection Process & Next Steps

Following the October 19 deadline, your submission will be reviewed both internally and externally by our selection committee consisting of NCEO staff, board members, and peers. Our conference is for employee-owners, and topics outside of employee ownership will be considered but not treated with the same weight. Please note that selection preference will be given to speakers who have demonstrated excellence in meeting speaker deadlines and have been rated higher in previous NCEO speaking engagements.

If selected to speak, you will be notified by email by early December 2026. You will have ten days to accept your speaking slot. Session times will be communicated once all speaking slots have been accepted or declined.

Don't miss this opportunity to be part of a transformative event that will empower you and your organization to thrive in the evolving business landscape of tomorrow.
